Slightly tangential to Zinc and GLP-1 immune but wanda_boise reminded me — has anyone else noticed changes in their alcohol tolerance?

I know it is not exactly on-topic but it seems related enough to ask here rather than starting a new thread. Apologies if this has been covered — I did search first.

+1 to wanda_boise. Especially the point about "A few questions about your Zinc and GLP-..." — I have seen the same in my own experience with Zinc and GLP-1 immune.

Dr.LeslieOBGYN — that is really helpful context on Zinc and GLP-1 immune. Follow-up question: what labs did your doctor order to monitor this?

I am in a similar situation (just started) and trying to set realistic expectations.

To answer MounjBrad's question specifically:

From a clinical standpoint, Zinc and GLP-1 immune is an area where we have good evidence.

The short answer: baseline labs + quarterly monitoring is the standard of care.

The longer answer involves understanding the mechanism of action at the receptor level, which I am happy to elaborate on if helpful.
