Has anyone compared the cost-per-mg of actual semaglutide adjusted for purity? Because a $139 vial at 94% purity gives you 9.4mg of actual semaglutide, while a $249 vial at 99% gives you 9.9mg.

Cost per mg of actual semaglutide:

  • BudgetPeptides: $139 / 9.4mg = $14.79/mg
  • PeptideLabs USA: $199 / 9.74mg = $20.43/mg
  • ResearchChem Direct: $219 / 9.79mg = $22.37/mg
  • CompoundPharm: $249 / 9.86mg = $25.25/mg
  • SynthPure: $279 / 9.91mg = $28.15/mg
  • AmeriPharma: $289 / 9.88mg = $29.25/mg

On pure $/mg, BudgetPeptides wins. But this ignores the impurity risk, the terrible packaging, and the lack of COA. You get what you pay for.

— excellent analysis, but I'd push back on the conclusion. The impurity differential isn't just about getting less semaglutide. It's about what the non-semaglutide portion IS.

At 99% purity, the 1% impurity is almost certainly minor process-related impurities (acetate salts, trace solvents) that are well-characterized and generally harmless.

At 94% purity, that 6% could include biologically active peptide fragments, bacterial endotoxins, or synthesis byproducts that nobody has characterized. You're injecting an unknown cocktail.

For me, the sweet spot is $200-260 range with 97-99% verified purity. PeptideLabs USA or CompoundPharm. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but consistently good quality with third-party verification.

One last thing: vendor longevity matters. I've seen at least 5 peptide vendors appear and disappear in the last 18 months. They open shop, sell for 3-6 months, then vanish — sometimes with prepaid orders unfulfilled.

The vendors in this matrix have all been operating for 12+ months with consistent community presence. That doesn't guarantee they'll be around forever, but it's a better bet than the fly-by-night operations advertising on Reddit.

Never prepay for more than one month's supply from any vendor. And if a vendor offers a "lifetime supply deal" or asks for crypto-only payment, run.
