Update on my situation with fiber supplementation for glp-1 constipation 12 — wanted to follow up since some of you asked.

about 6 weeks since my last post and things have stabilized. Here is what happened:

Talked to my pharmacist about the concerns raised in my previous thread and they ordered additional tests.

Full details below. Thanks to everyone who responded last time — your input genuinely made a difference.

claudia_zurich's experience with Fiber supplementation for resonates deeply with mine. I went through almost the identical process — starting dose, titration timeline, side effects, everything.

The main difference: I started 3 months later. But the overall trajectory has been remarkably similar. Down 34 lbs in 9 months.

One thing I would add that claudia_zurich did not mention: the mental health improvements were just as significant.

Thanks for sharing this, claudia_zurich. A few questions about your Fiber supplementatio experience:

  1. What dose worked best for you?
  2. How long before you noticed appetite suppression kicking in?
  3. Did your endo have any specific recommendations about Fiber supplemen?

I am in a similar boat and trying to learn from others' experiences before my next appointment.

OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on Fiber supplementation for.

To answer pete_RVA: I get my labs done through Quest every 3 months.

Quick update: my latest labs came back even better. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏

Relevant to Fiber supplementation for — here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 7.2% → 5.3%, triglycerides 227 → 97 mg/dL, hsCRP 6.0 → 0.9 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 7 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.
