Update on my situation with am i the only one who — wanted to follow up since some of you asked.

2 months since my last post and things have changed a lot. Here is what happened:

Talked to my provider about the concerns raised in my previous thread and they had a different perspective.

Full details below. Thanks to everyone who responded last time — your input genuinely made a difference.

robert_kc's experience with Am I the only one who resonates deeply with mine. I went through almost the identical process — starting dose, titration timeline, side effects, everything.

The main difference: I started 3 months later. But the overall trajectory has been remarkably similar. Down 42 lbs in 7 months.

One thing I would add that robert_kc did not mention: the mental health improvements were just as significant.

Thanks for sharing this, robert_kc. A few questions about your Am I the only one experience:

  1. What dose are you currently on?
  2. How long before you noticed significant changes?
  3. Did your doctor have any specific recommendations about Am I the only?

I am in a similar boat and trying to learn from others' experiences before my next appointment.

OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on Am I the only one who.

To answer greg_boulder: I get my labs done through Quest every 3 months.

Quick update: my latest labs came back even better. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏

Relevant to Am I the only one who forgot — here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 7.2% → 5.3%, triglycerides 195 → 95 mg/dL, hsCRP 6.0 → 1.3 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 11 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.
