Hey everyone. I have been on semaglutide for 3 months now and wanted to get the community's take on something.

Meal prep Sunday — need advice

I have been reading through old threads but have not found exactly what I'm looking for. My situation: my doctor suggested meal prep sunday need advice and I am not sure what to make of it.

Has anyone else dealt with this? What was your experience? My endo was not super helpful — just said to "monitor it" which is not exactly actionable advice lol.

Any input appreciated. Thanks in advance. 🙏

traveltech_sara's experience with Meal prep Sunday need resonates deeply with mine. I went through almost the identical process — starting dose, titration timeline, side effects, everything.

The main difference: I started 3 months later. But the overall trajectory has been remarkably similar. Down 62 lbs in 7 months.

One thing I would add that traveltech_sara did not mention: the mental health improvements were just as significant.

Thanks for sharing this, traveltech_sara. A few questions about your Meal prep Sunday experience:

  1. What dose worked best for you?
  2. How long before you noticed appetite suppression kicking in?
  3. Did your endo have any specific recommendations about Meal prep Sunda?

I am in a similar boat and trying to learn from others' experiences before my next appointment.

OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on Meal prep Sunday need.

To answer NicoleRaleigh: I get my labs done through Quest every 3 months.

Quick update: my latest labs came back even better. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏

Relevant to Meal prep Sunday need advice — here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 8.0% → 5.3%, triglycerides 215 → 115 mg/dL, hsCRP 6.0 → 0.9 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 7 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.
