OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on Zinc and GLP-1 looking.

To answer CryptoCarl: I started tracking everything in a spreadsheet from day 1.

Quick update: I will post a proper update thread soon. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏

Slightly tangential to Zinc and GLP-1 looking but Dr.LeslieOBGYN reminded me — what is the latest on the oral formulations?

I know it is not exactly on-topic but it seems related enough to ask here rather than starting a new thread. Apologies if this has been covered — I did search first.

Relevant to Zinc and GLP-1 looking for — here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 7.2% → 5.3%, triglycerides 199 → 99 mg/dL, hsCRP 6.0 → 1.1 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 15 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.

Want to share my personal experience related to Zinc and GLP-1 looking for since I think it might help others in a similar situation.

I started my GLP-1 journey in October 2024 at 285 lbs with prediabetes and hypertension. My endocrinologist prescribed semaglutide 0.25mg to start.

Now, 10 months later: I am down 45 lbs, my labs have normalized, and I am off 2 of my 3 medications. The Zinc and GLP-1 aspect specifically was something that made a big difference in my journey.

This community helped me every step of the way.

CryptoCarl — that is really helpful context on Zinc and GLP-1 looking. Follow-up question: did you experience any side effects during this phase?

I am in a similar situation (about to start) and trying to set realistic expectations.
