Quick practical note — if you're doing 0.125mg from a compounded vial, the reconstitution math matters a lot here. With a 5mg vial:

  • Add 2mL BAC water → 2.5mg/mL → 0.125mg = 0.05mL = 5 units

5 units on an insulin syringe is a very small amount — just be sure you're using a syringe with fine enough markings. A 0.3mL (30-unit) syringe will have individual unit markings and be much easier to read accurately at this volume than a full 1mL syringe.

Good discussion. I'll just add the standard disclaimer that micro-dosing is off-label and should be done under provider supervision. We don't want anyone reading this thread and deciding to start at a random low dose without medical guidance. Your provider can factor in your full medical history, not just your weight.
