When to hold at a dose — I finally have something positive to report and wanted to share.

After 6 months of ups and downs, things are clicking. My latest measurements confirmed what I have been feeling — this is working.

Not trying to brag — I know everyone's journey is different. Just want to put some positive energy out there for anyone who needs it today. ❤️

When to hold at a dose vs continue — I actually dealt with this exact situation a few weeks ago.

Short answer: it depends on your starting point. Longer answer: I wrote about my experience in the dosing forum if you want the full details.

Completely agree with Dr.RenalNash. I would add that When to hold at a dose vs also has implications for long-term metabolic health that sometimes get overlooked in these discussions.

In my case, following a similar approach led to significant improvements compared to what I was doing before.

As a pharmacist, I want to add some clinical context to this discussion on When to hold at a dose vs continue.

Building on what gary_naperville said — the evidence base here is robust. The key publications to reference are from the SELECT program[1].

Key clinical points:

  1. Efficacy is dose-dependent and typically requires 4-5 weeks to reach steady state
  2. Side effect profile is predictable and usually manageable with standard protocols
  3. Monitoring should include baseline labs and follow-up at 3-month intervals
  4. Patient education significantly improves outcomes and adherence

Standard disclaimer: this is educational, not individualized medical advice.
