Blood sugar used to spike to 200 after meals, now barely hits 120

Wanted to share some data with the community since I know we're all about evidence here.

Background: I have been tracking everything meticulously since starting tirz 12 months ago. Here's what I have found regarding blood sugar used to spike to.

I'll post my numbers below and would love to see others share theirs too. The more data points we have, the better we can all make informed decisions.

Fair warning β€” this is a long post. TL;DR at the bottom for those who do not want the full breakdown.

DerekSJ_a1c's experience with Blood sugar used to spike resonates deeply with mine. I went through almost the identical process β€” starting dose, titration timeline, side effects, everything.

The main difference: I had more GI issues initially. But the overall trajectory has been remarkably similar. Down 69 lbs in 14 months.

One thing I would add that DerekSJ_a1c did not mention: insurance coverage was a major hurdle.

Thanks for sharing this, DerekSJ_a1c. A few questions about your Blood sugar used to experience:

  1. What dose are you currently on?
  2. How long before you noticed significant changes?
  3. Did your doctor have any specific recommendations about Blood sugar?

I am in a similar boat and trying to learn from others' experiences before my next appointment.
