Hey everyone. I have been on tirzepatide for about 6 months now and wanted to get the community's take on something.

Coffee and GLP-1 — has your caffeine tolerance changed?

I have been reading through old threads but have not found exactly what I'm looking for. My situation: I have been wondering about coffee and glp-1 has your caffeine and I am not sure what to make of it.

Has anyone else dealt with this? What was your experience? My PCP was not super helpful — just said to "monitor it" which is not exactly actionable advice lol.

Any input appreciated. Thanks in advance. 🙏

Good question. For Coffee and GLP-1 has your caffeine, here is what the evidence says:

  • The clinical trial data (SURMOUNT program) supports this approach
  • Real-world results from this community generally confirm the trial findings
  • Individual variation is real — give it at least 8 weeks before judging

Happy to go deeper on any of these points if helpful.

To answer the question about Coffee and GLP-1 has your caffeine tolerance changed? — in my experience this comes down to a few key factors.

I have been dealing with this for about 6 months now, and what I have found is that individual responses really do vary. That said, the general consensus on Coffee and GLP-1 has your seems solid.

What specifically worked for me: starting with a lower dose and titrating slowly. I would suggest NurseAsh_DET try the same approach and reporting back.

Coffee and GLP-1 has your caffeine — I actually dealt with this exact situation around month 3.

Short answer: talk to your prescriber first. Longer answer: I wrote about my experience in the results forum if you want the full details.

Slightly tangential to Coffee and GLP-1 has but LipidDoc_ATL reminded me — what is the latest on the oral formulations?

I know it is not exactly on-topic but it seems related enough to ask here rather than starting a new thread. Apologies if this has been covered — I did search first.
