I've been buying the cheapest BAC water on Amazon for a year. Multiple different brands. Never had issues but now I'm terrified. Just because I didn't have a visible reaction doesn't mean I wasn't injecting endotoxins, right? Is there any way to test the ones I currently have? I have 3 unopened vials from different Amazon sellers.

Correct — sub-clinical endotoxin exposure can cause low-grade inflammation without obvious symptoms. You might have been injecting low levels of endotoxins without knowing. LAL testing isn't really available to consumers directly. Your best bet is to: 1. Throw out what you have from Amazon 2. Buy from a legitimate source going forward 3. If you've been having any unexplained inflammation, fatigue, or immune issues, mention the exposure to your doctor The price difference between Amazon BAC water ($8-12) and pharmacy-grade ($15-25) is not worth the risk. Not even close.

MOD ALERT — SAFETY WARNING We are adding a permanent warning to the wiki and FAQ: Do not purchase bacteriostatic water from Amazon, eBay, or unverified online sellers. Approved BAC water sources are being added to the wiki. All must be from licensed pharmacies or established medical supply companies with verifiable lot testing. Thank you for the lab work and the detailed warning. This potentially saved people from serious infections.

I just left a 1-star review on the Amazon listing with a link to this thread. Everyone who bought this product should do the same. Maybe we can get the listing pulled. Also reported it to Amazon as a dangerous product. Though knowing Amazon's track record with removing dangerous listings, I won't hold my breath.

UPDATE: I also filed a report with the FDA's MedWatch system and included the LAL test results. Whether they act on it is another question, but at least it's on record. My injection site reaction has resolved after 4 days. Switched to Hospira BAC water from a medical supply company. No issues since. Please share this thread with anyone you know who reconstitutes peptides. This is a safety issue that doesn't get enough attention. We spend all our time worrying about peptide quality and forget that the water we mix it with matters just as much.
