Okay I need help with this β€” showed my before photo to my.

I have been dealing with this for way too long and I am getting frustrated. Googling just gives me contradictory information and my endo does not seem to take it seriously.

Please tell me someone here has been through this and come out the other side. What did you do? What finally worked?

I know there are some really knowledgeable people on this forum so I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. 😩

I respect WendyG_ATL perspective but I think this oversimplifies things a bit. Re: Showed my before photo to my β€” the effect size varies considerably by population.

I am not saying WendyG_ATL wrong entirely β€” just that the picture is more nuanced than a blanket statement. The SURMOUNT data specifically shows baseline BMI-dependent responses.

+1 to WendyG_ATL. Especially the point about "Showed my before photo to my hairdresser..." β€” I have seen the same in my own experience with Showed my before photo to.

As a healthcare provider, I want to add some clinical context to this discussion on Showed my before photo to my hairdresser.

Building on what WendyG_ATL said β€” the evidence base here is well-established. The key publications to reference are from the SELECT program[1].

Key clinical points:

  1. Efficacy is dose-dependent and typically requires 4-5 weeks to reach steady state
  2. Side effect profile is predictable and usually manageable with standard protocols
  3. Monitoring should include baseline labs and follow-up at 3-month intervals
  4. Patient education significantly improves outcomes and adherence

Standard disclaimer: this is educational, not individualized medical advice.

Gonna push back on this one. Showed my before photo to my is not that straightforward in my experience. I have been on this for 18 months and the reality is messier than the trials suggest.

Don't get me wrong β€” the medication works. But adherence is harder than people admit. We should be honest about that.
