Hey everyone. I have been on my GLP-1 medication for almost a year now and wanted to get the community's take on something.

I missed my shot day by 2 days am I going to be okay — what worked for you?

I have been reading through old threads but have not found exactly what I'm looking for. My situation: I recently experienced i missed my shot day by and I am not sure what to make of it.

Has anyone else dealt with this? What was your experience? My provider was not super helpful — just said to "monitor it" which is not exactly actionable advice lol.

Any input appreciated. Thanks in advance. 🙏

Good question. For I missed my shot day by 2 days am I, here is what the evidence says:

  • The clinical trial data (SURMOUNT program) supports this approach
  • Real-world results from this community generally confirm the trial findings
  • Individual variation is real — give it at least 8 weeks before judging

Happy to go deeper on any of these points if helpful.

Completely agree with Dr.KarenChen. I would add that I missed my shot day by 2 days also has implications for long-term metabolic health that sometimes get overlooked in these discussions.

In my case, following a similar approach led to significant improvements compared to what I was doing before.

Exactly this. My pharmacist said the same thing about I missed my shot day.

As a pharmacist, I want to add some clinical context to this discussion on I missed my shot day by 2 days am I.

Building on what LondonLisa said — the evidence base here is robust. The key publications to reference are from the SUSTAIN program[1].

Key clinical points:

  1. Efficacy is dose-dependent and typically requires 4-5 weeks to reach steady state
  2. Side effect profile is predictable and usually manageable with standard protocols
  3. Monitoring should include baseline labs and follow-up at 3-month intervals
  4. Patient education significantly improves outcomes and adherence

Standard disclaimer: this is educational, not individualized medical advice.
