Quick practical note — if you're doing 0.125mg from a compounded vial, the reconstitution math matters a lot here. With a 5mg vial:
- Add 2mL BAC water → 2.5mg/mL → 0.125mg = 0.05mL = 5 units
5 units on an insulin syringe is a very small amount — just be sure you're using a syringe with fine enough markings. A 0.3mL (30-unit) syringe will have individual unit markings and be much easier to read accurately at this volume than a full 1mL syringe.
