Slightly tangential to GLP-1 and uric acid but rick_sfbay reminded me — what is the latest on the oral formulations?

I know it is not exactly on-topic but it seems related enough to ask here rather than starting a new thread. Apologies if this has been covered — I did search first.

Slightly tangential to GLP-1 and uric acid but rick_sfbay reminded me — has anyone else noticed changes in their alcohol tolerance?

Relevant to GLP-1 and uric acid reduction — here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 8.4% → 5.5%, triglycerides 213 → 113 mg/dL, hsCRP 8.0 → 1.3 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 17 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.

Want to share my personal experience related to GLP-1 and uric acid reduction since I think it might help others in a similar situation.

I started my GLP-1 journey in March 2025 at 269 lbs with metabolic syndrome. My telehealth provider prescribed semaglutide 0.25mg to start.

Now, 8 months later: I am down 44 lbs, my labs have normalized, and my sleep apnea has improved dramatically. The GLP-1 and uric acid aspect specifically was something that made a big difference in my journey.

This forum was my go-to resource throughout.
