For my audiobook people (I literally cannot sit down and read a physical book, my ADHD said no): "Atomic Habits" by James Clear — technically not a food book but I used it to build every healthy habit I have now. Stacking my sema injection with my Sunday meal prep was a game changer. "The Glucose Goddess Method" by Jessie Inchauspé — her voice is so soothing on the audiobook and the veggie starter hack actually works really well with reduced GLP-1 appetite. Small portion of veggies first = way less nausea. Also seconding "The Hungry Brain" — the audiobook narration is great. 🎧

the ADHD audiobook struggle is SO real. Solidarity 🤝 I'll add one more obscure pick: "Eating Tomorrow" by Timothy Wise. It's about global food systems and honestly gave me perspective on how privileged we are to even be having conversations about food optimization and peptides. Kept me humble and grateful.

Since we're sharing — has anyone read "Ozempic Revolution" by Johann Hari? Just came out last year. Thoughts? I have mixed feelings. Some of the science reporting is a bit sensationalized but it does a decent job explaining the cultural moment around GLP-1s. Gave it to my mom so she'd stop asking me if my medication is "cheating" 🙄

I read it! Agreed on mixed feelings. He's a good writer but oversimplifies some things. It did help my partner understand why I chose GLP-1s though, so it served a purpose. This thread is incredible. I just added like 6 books to my reading list. We should do a CompoundTalk book club! Monthly pick, discuss in a thread? 📖✨
