Just wanted to say — for anyone reading this Body dysmorphia thread who is feeling discouraged: it gets better. The first month are the hardest. Hang in there. 💪

Want to share my personal experience related to Body dysmorphia after since I think it might help others in a similar situation.

I started my GLP-1 journey in October 2024 at 267 lbs with prediabetes and hypertension. My endocrinologist prescribed semaglutide 0.25mg to start.

Now, 18 months later: I am down 82 lbs, my labs have normalized, and I am off 2 of my 3 medications. The Body dysmorphia aspect specifically was something that made a big difference in my journey.

This community helped me every step of the way.

Relevant to Body dysmorphia after — here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 7.6% → 5.5%, triglycerides 213 → 113 mg/dL, hsCRP 8.0 → 1.3 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 17 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.

Want to share my personal experience related to Body dysmorphia after since I think it might help others in a similar situation.

I started my GLP-1 journey in March 2025 at 284 lbs with metabolic syndrome. My telehealth provider prescribed semaglutide 0.25mg to start.

Now, 10 months later: I am down 89 lbs, my labs have normalized, and my sleep apnea has improved dramatically. The Body dysmorphia aspect specifically was something that made a big difference in my journey.

This forum was my go-to resource throughout.

HPLC_Greg — that is really helpful context on Body dysmorphia after. Follow-up question: did you change anything about your diet at the same time?

I am in a similar situation (month 2) and trying to set realistic expectations.
