Can I just vent for a second about gratitude thread need advice?

I know this forum is evidence-based and I love that about it, but sometimes you just need to let it out. I hit another plateau and I am frustrated.

Not looking for a fix necessarily — just solidarity. Anyone else going through this right now?

TrialNerd_Beth's experience with Gratitude thread need resonates deeply with mine. I went through almost the identical process — starting dose, titration timeline, side effects, everything.

The main difference: I started 3 months later. But the overall trajectory has been remarkably similar. Down 66 lbs in 11 months.

One thing I would add that TrialNerd_Beth did not mention: the mental health improvements were just as significant.

Thanks for sharing this, TrialNerd_Beth. A few questions about your Gratitude thread experience:

  1. What dose are you currently on?
  2. How long before you noticed significant changes?
  3. Did your doctor have any specific recommendations about Gratitude threa?

I am in a similar boat and trying to learn from others' experiences before my next appointment.

OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on Gratitude thread need.

To answer hans_munich: I get my labs done through Quest every 3 months.

Quick update: my latest labs came back even better. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏

Relevant to Gratitude thread need advice — here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 7.2% → 5.3%, triglycerides 219 → 119 mg/dL, hsCRP 6.0 → 1.3 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 11 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.
