How do you all handle united healthcare pa criteria for wegovy?

Looking for practical tips, not theoretical. What does your actual routine look like? Step by step if possible.

I have tried what my doctor suggested but it is not working great.

VanRx_Mike's experience with United Healthcare PA resonates deeply with mine. I went through almost the identical process — starting dose, titration timeline, side effects, everything.

The main difference: I had more GI issues initially. But the overall trajectory has been remarkably similar. Down 65 lbs in 10 months.

One thing I would add that VanRx_Mike did not mention: insurance coverage was a major hurdle.

Thanks for sharing this, VanRx_Mike. A few questions about your United Healthcare PA experience:

  1. What dose are you currently on?
  2. How long before you noticed significant changes?
  3. Did your doctor have any specific recommendations about United Healthca?

I am in a similar boat and trying to learn from others' experiences before my next appointment.

OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on United Healthcare PA.

To answer Dr.ObesityLA: my doctor and I discussed the options and went with brand.

Quick update: I have noticed more improvement since posting this. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏
