Clinical perspective on GLP-1 and addiction pathways looking:

I have managed ~150 patients on GLP-1 therapy and this topic comes up frequently. What the data shows — and what I see in practice — is that the medication works best as part of a comprehensive approach.

For this specific question, I would recommend: getting comprehensive baseline labs first.

Reading this thread on GLP-1 and addiction hits close to home. Night shift nurse — I started at 271 lbs and felt like I would tried everything.

7 months on tirz and I am a different person. Not just the 46 lbs lost — my energy, my mood, my relationship with food. All transformed.

If you are on the fence about GLP-1 and addiction — take the leap. It was the best health decision I have ever made. ❤️

This is exactly right. steve_okc articulated what I have been trying to explain to my friends for months. The GLP-1 and addiction aspect is what made the difference for me.
