Hey everyone. I have been on semaglutide for 3 months now and wanted to get the community's take on something.

My vial looks cloudy - throw it out??

I have been reading through old threads but have not found exactly what I'm looking for. My situation: my doctor suggested my vial looks cloudy - throw and I am not sure what to make of it.

Has anyone else dealt with this? What was your experience? My endo was not super helpful β€” just said to "monitor it" which is not exactly actionable advice lol.

Any input appreciated. Thanks in advance. πŸ™

PharmHunterJen's experience with My vial looks cloudy - resonates deeply with mine. I went through almost the identical process β€” starting dose, titration timeline, side effects, everything.

The main difference: I started 3 months later. But the overall trajectory has been remarkably similar. Down 38 lbs in 13 months.

One thing I would add that PharmHunterJen did not mention: the mental health improvements were just as significant.

Thanks for sharing this, PharmHunterJen. A few questions about your My vial looks cloudy experience:

  1. What dose worked best for you?
  2. How long before you noticed appetite suppression kicking in?
  3. Did your endo have any specific recommendations about My vial looks?

I am in a similar boat and trying to learn from others' experiences before my next appointment.

OP here β€” wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on My vial looks cloudy -.

To answer mona_PHX: I get my labs done through Quest every 3 months.

Quick update: my latest labs came back even better. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion β€” this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. πŸ™

Relevant to My vial looks cloudy - throw β€” here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 8.0% β†’ 5.3%, triglycerides 191 β†’ 91 mg/dL, hsCRP 6.0 β†’ 0.9 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 7 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.
