PLEASE just give me a pill already I hate needles so much — May 2025

Saw this come across my feed today and thought the community would want to discuss.

PLEASE just give me a pill is something that affects a lot of us here, and the latest information is worth paying attention to. I'll share what I know and hopefully others can fill in the gaps.

Key points as I understand them:

  • This has been evolving over the past few months
  • There are different perspectives on how to approach it
  • The practical implications depend on your specific situation

What are you all hearing from your providers about this? Anyone have direct experience to share?

KetoKyle's experience with PLEASE just give me a resonates deeply with mine. I went through almost the identical process — starting dose, titration timeline, side effects, everything.

The main difference: I started 3 months later. But the overall trajectory has been remarkably similar. Down 34 lbs in 9 months.

One thing I would add that KetoKyle did not mention: the mental health improvements were just as significant.

Thanks for sharing this, KetoKyle. A few questions about your PLEASE just give me experience:

  1. What dose worked best for you?
  2. How long before you noticed appetite suppression kicking in?
  3. Did your endo have any specific recommendations about PLEASE just?

I am in a similar boat and trying to learn from others' experiences before my next appointment.

OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on PLEASE just give me a.

To answer ricardo_MIA: I get my labs done through Quest every 3 months.

Quick update: my latest labs came back even better. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏

Relevant to PLEASE just give me a pill — here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 7.2% → 5.3%, triglycerides 227 → 97 mg/dL, hsCRP 6.0 → 0.9 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 7 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.
