TrialTracker_MD — that is really helpful context on GLP-1 and gambling. Follow-up question: did you experience any side effects during this phase?

I am in a similar situation (about to start) and trying to set realistic expectations.

Want to share my personal experience related to GLP-1 and gambling reduction since I think it might help others in a similar situation.

I started my GLP-1 journey in March 2025 at 269 lbs with metabolic syndrome. My telehealth provider prescribed semaglutide 0.25mg to start.

Now, 12 months later: I am down 59 lbs, my labs have normalized, and my sleep apnea has improved dramatically. The GLP-1 and gambling aspect specifically was something that made a big difference in my journey.

This forum was my go-to resource throughout.

Just wanted to say — for anyone reading this GLP-1 and gambling thread who is feeling discouraged: it gets better. The first few weeks are the hardest. Hang in there. 💪
