Just had to share this with someone who would understand — grief over lost years looking for.

Got my latest A1C and I am genuinely emotional right now. 12 months in and the progress is real.

Details in the comments but wanted to start this thread because I think others going through the same thing need to see that it works.

pam_columbus's experience with Grief over lost years resonates deeply with mine. I went through almost the identical process — starting dose, titration timeline, side effects, everything.

The main difference: I titrated faster. But the overall trajectory has been remarkably similar. Down 60 lbs in 5 months.

One thing I would add that pam_columbus did not mention: the relationship with food fundamentally changed.

Thanks for sharing this, pam_columbus. A few questions about your Grief over lost experience:

  1. What dose are you currently on?
  2. How long before you noticed significant changes?
  3. Did your doctor have any specific recommendations about Grief over lost?

I am in a similar boat and trying to learn from others' experiences before my next appointment.

To answer JakeSmashed95: yes, I am on compounded sema from a 503B pharmacy.

Quick update: things are still going well. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏

Relevant to Grief over lost years looking — here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 7.6% → 5.5%, triglycerides 213 → 113 mg/dL, hsCRP 8.0 → 1.3 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 17 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.
