Hi all, brand new here. My endo just prescribed semaglutide and I have a question about my cardiologist just high-fived me at.

Sorry if this has been asked before — I did try searching but the amount of information here is overwhelming (in a good way). I am on week 1 and everything is new to me.

Any guidance appreciated. You all seem really knowledgeable and I am glad I found this community.

MASHdoc_SA's experience with My cardiologist just resonates deeply with mine. I went through almost the identical process — starting dose, titration timeline, side effects, everything.

The main difference: I am on a different medication. But the overall trajectory has been remarkably similar. Down 55 lbs in 10 months.

One thing I would add that MASHdoc_SA did not mention: my sleep quality improved dramatically.

Thanks for sharing this, MASHdoc_SA. A few questions about your My cardiologist just experience:

  1. What dose are you currently on?
  2. How long before you noticed significant changes?
  3. Did your doctor have any specific recommendations about My cardiologist?

I am in a similar boat and trying to learn from others' experiences before my next appointment.

OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on My cardiologist just.

To answer MikeFit_NJ: I started tracking everything in a spreadsheet from day 1.

Quick update: I will post a proper update thread soon. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏
