🎉 MILESTONE: Is there a ceiling effect for!

I can not believe I am typing this. When I started this journey I had zero hope.

Numbers: BMI went from 42 to 25.

Thank you to this community for keeping me sane through the hard parts. You know who you are. 🙏

VanRx_Mike's experience with Is there a ceiling effect resonates deeply with mine. I went through almost the identical process — starting dose, titration timeline, side effects, everything.

The main difference: I started 3 months later. But the overall trajectory has been remarkably similar. Down 38 lbs in 13 months.

One thing I would add that VanRx_Mike did not mention: the mental health improvements were just as significant.

Thanks for sharing this, VanRx_Mike. A few questions about your Is there a ceiling experience:

  1. What dose worked best for you?
  2. How long before you noticed appetite suppression kicking in?
  3. Did your endo have any specific recommendations about Is there a ceil?

I am in a similar boat and trying to learn from others' experiences before my next appointment.

OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on Is there a ceiling effect.

To answer Dr.SurgeonPGH: I get my labs done through Quest every 3 months.

Quick update: my latest labs came back even better. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏

Relevant to Is there a ceiling effect for — here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 8.0% → 5.3%, triglycerides 191 → 91 mg/dL, hsCRP 6.0 → 0.9 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 7 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.
