Hi all, brand new here. My doctor just prescribed semaglutide and I have a question about glp-1 and atrial fibrillation risk november.

Sorry if this has been asked before — I did try searching but the amount of information here is overwhelming (in a good way). I am on week 2 and everything is new to me.

Any guidance appreciated. You all seem really knowledgeable and I am glad I found this community.

To answer the question about GLP-1 and atrial fibrillation risk November 2025 — in my experience this comes down to a few key factors.

I have been dealing with this for almost 2 years now, and what I have found is that individual responses really do vary. That said, the general consensus on GLP-1 and atrial fibrillation seems solid.

What specifically worked for me: combining medication with structured exercise. I would suggest NurseLeah_Nash try the same approach and reporting back.

TrialTracker_MD nailed it. Building on that — GLP-1 and atrial fibrillation risk is something I discuss with my PCP regularly, and their clinical perspective aligns with what TrialTracker_MD described.

One thing I would add: the first few weeks are not representative of long-term results.

Clinical perspective on GLP-1 and atrial fibrillation risk :

I have managed ~150 patients on GLP-1 therapy and this topic comes up frequently. What the data shows — and what I see in practice — is that proper titration prevents most adverse events.

For this specific question, I would recommend: reviewing the relevant clinical guidelines.
