Echocardiographic changes on GLP-1 — what worked for you?

Wanted to share some data with the community since I know we're all about evidence here.

Background: I have been tracking everything meticulously since starting tirz 12 months ago. Here's what I have found regarding echocardiographic changes on glp-1 what worked.

I'll post my numbers below and would love to see others share theirs too. The more data points we have, the better we can all make informed decisions.

Fair warning — this is a long post. TL;DR at the bottom for those who do not want the full breakdown.

oliver_london's experience with Echocardiographic changes resonates deeply with mine. I went through almost the identical process — starting dose, titration timeline, side effects, everything.

The main difference: I titrated faster. But the overall trajectory has been remarkably similar. Down 32 lbs in 7 months.

One thing I would add that oliver_london did not mention: the relationship with food fundamentally changed.

Thanks for sharing this, oliver_london. A few questions about your Echocardiographic experience:

  1. What dose are you currently on?
  2. How long before you noticed significant changes?
  3. Did your doctor have any specific recommendations about Echocardiograph?

I am in a similar boat and trying to learn from others' experiences before my next appointment.

OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on Echocardiographic changes.

To answer mel_PDX: yes, I am on compounded sema from a 503B pharmacy.

Quick update: things are still going well. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏

Relevant to Echocardiographic changes on — here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 8.4% → 5.5%, triglycerides 225 → 95 mg/dL, hsCRP 8.0 → 1.3 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 17 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.
