Derek makes an important point. The purpose of my post isn't to scare people away from compounding — it's to emphasize that IF you go compounded, you should:
- Use a 503B facility if possible
- Ask for certificates of analysis (CoA)
- Consider third-party testing, especially for a new source
- Look for proper labeling, packaging, and documentation
- Be wary of prices that seem too good to be true
The delta between Source A and Source B in my testing shows that not all compound is created equal. A little due diligence goes a long way.
