carlos_SATX — that is really helpful context on Do the heart benefits go. Follow-up question: how long did you wait before increasing your dose?

I am in a similar situation (week 4) and trying to set realistic expectations.

To answer jennifer_SEA's question specifically:

From a clinical standpoint, Do the heart benefits go away is a reasonable concern that deserves a thorough answer.

The short answer: the evidence supports this approach for most patients.

The longer answer involves reviewing the specific clinical trial data relevant to your question, which I am happy to elaborate on if helpful.

Relevant to Do the heart benefits go away — here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 8.0% → 5.3%, triglycerides 211 → 111 mg/dL, hsCRP 6.0 → 1.1 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 15 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.

Slightly tangential to Do the heart benefits go but anna.melb_AU reminded me — has anyone else noticed changes in their alcohol tolerance?

I know it is not exactly on-topic but it seems related enough to ask here rather than starting a new thread. Apologies if this has been covered — I did search first.
