OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on Do the heart benefits go.

To answer DeniseRN_TPA: yes, I am on compounded sema from a 503B pharmacy.

Quick update: things are still going well. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏

Relevant to Do the heart benefits go away — here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 7.6% → 5.5%, triglycerides 221 → 91 mg/dL, hsCRP 8.0 → 0.9 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 13 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.

Want to share my personal experience related to Do the heart benefits go away since I think it might help others in a similar situation.

I started my GLP-1 journey in March 2025 at 262 lbs with metabolic syndrome. My telehealth provider prescribed semaglutide 0.25mg to start.

Now, 18 months later: I am down 47 lbs, my labs have normalized, and my sleep apnea has improved dramatically. The Do the heart aspect specifically was something that made a big difference in my journey.

This forum was my go-to resource throughout.
