Hi all, brand new here. My doctor just prescribed semaglutide and I have a question about tirz + walking = the only.

Sorry if this has been asked before — I did try searching but the amount of information here is overwhelming (in a good way). I am on week 2 and everything is new to me.

Any guidance appreciated. You all seem really knowledgeable and I am glad I found this community.

mike.trainer_LA's experience with Tirz + walking = the only resonates deeply with mine. I went through almost the identical process — starting dose, titration timeline, side effects, everything.

The main difference: I started 3 months later. But the overall trajectory has been remarkably similar. Down 46 lbs in 11 months.

One thing I would add that mike.trainer_LA did not mention: the mental health improvements were just as significant.

Thanks for sharing this, mike.trainer_LA. A few questions about your Tirz + walking = the experience:

  1. What dose are you currently on?
  2. How long before you noticed significant changes?
  3. Did your doctor have any specific recommendations about Tirz + walking?

I am in a similar boat and trying to learn from others' experiences before my next appointment.

OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on Tirz + walking = the only.

To answer SandraNC_45: I get my labs done through Quest every 3 months.

Quick update: my latest labs came back even better. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏

Relevant to Tirz + walking = the only — here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 8.0% → 5.3%, triglycerides 219 → 119 mg/dL, hsCRP 6.0 → 1.3 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 11 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.
