Okay I need help with this — echocardiographic changes on glp-1 anyone have.

I have been dealing with this for way too long and I am getting frustrated. Googling just gives me contradictory information and my endo does not seem to take it seriously.

Please tell me someone here has been through this and come out the other side. What did you do? What finally worked?

I know there are some really knowledgeable people on this forum so I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. 😩

pete_manc_UK's experience with Echocardiographic changes resonates deeply with mine. I went through almost the identical process — starting dose, titration timeline, side effects, everything.

The main difference: I titrated faster. But the overall trajectory has been remarkably similar. Down 36 lbs in 11 months.

One thing I would add that pete_manc_UK did not mention: the relationship with food fundamentally changed.

Thanks for sharing this, pete_manc_UK. A few questions about your Echocardiographic experience:

  1. What dose did you start at?
  2. How long before you noticed side effects improving?
  3. Did your provider have any specific recommendations about Echocardiograph?

I am in a similar boat and trying to learn from others' experiences before my next appointment.

OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on Echocardiographic changes.

To answer Dr.NateNeph: yes, I am on compounded sema from a 503B pharmacy.

Quick update: things are still going well. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏

Relevant to Echocardiographic changes on — here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 7.6% → 5.5%, triglycerides 229 → 99 mg/dL, hsCRP 8.0 → 1.1 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 9 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.
