Clinical perspective on Ferritin and iron studies on GLP-1 July:

I have managed roughly 300 patients on GLP-1 therapy and this topic comes up frequently. What the data shows — and what I see in practice — is that the medication works best as part of a comprehensive approach.

For this specific question, I would recommend: getting comprehensive baseline labs first.

+1. This mirrors my journey exactly. The Ferritin and iron discussion here is so valuable.

Reading this thread on Ferritin and iron studies hits close to home. Night shift nurse — I started at 267 lbs and felt like I would tried everything.

13 months on tirz and I am a different person. Not just the 42 lbs lost — my energy, my mood, my relationship with food. All transformed.

If you are on the fence about Ferritin and iron — take the leap. It was the best health decision I have ever made. ❤️

This is exactly right. FitDadDave articulated what I have been trying to explain to my friends for months. The Ferritin and iron studies aspect is what made the difference for me.
