Great guide. Let me add some security basics that every beginner should know:
🔐 Enable 2FA on everything — any exchange account should have two-factor authentication. Use an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy), NOT SMS. SIM swaps are real and scary.
🔐 Use a unique email for crypto stuff. Don't use your main gmail. Create a separate email just for exchanges/crypto. If your main email gets compromised, your crypto accounts are still safe.
🔐 Bookmark your exchange URLs and always access them from the bookmark. Never click links in emails claiming to be from Coinbase/Kraken/etc. Phishing sites look identical to the real thing.
🔐 Keep your phone/computer updated. Security patches exist for a reason.
Probably 90% of crypto theft is phishing and social engineering, not some hacker breaking encryption. The weakest link is always the human. Stay alert, stay safe 🛡️
