Specific question about igf-1 levels on glp-1 march 2026 that I have not seen answered clearly anywhere:

Does timing matter?

Context: I am week 4 on 0.5mg sema. My provider said one thing but I have read conflicting info online.

Would appreciate hearing from people with direct experience, not just theoretical answers.

sarah_nash92's experience with IGF-1 levels on GLP-1 resonates deeply with mine. I went through almost the identical process — starting dose, titration timeline, side effects, everything.

The main difference: I titrated faster. But the overall trajectory has been remarkably similar. Down 52 lbs in 7 months.

One thing I would add that sarah_nash92 did not mention: the relationship with food fundamentally changed.

Thanks for sharing this, sarah_nash92. A few questions about your IGF-1 levels on experience:

  1. What dose are you currently on?
  2. How long before you noticed significant changes?
  3. Did your doctor have any specific recommendations about IGF-1 levels on?

I am in a similar boat and trying to learn from others' experiences before my next appointment.

OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on IGF-1 levels on GLP-1 .

To answer DoseLogDan: yes, I am on compounded sema from a 503B pharmacy.

Quick update: things are still going well. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏

Relevant to IGF-1 levels on GLP-1 March — here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 7.6% → 5.5%, triglycerides 225 → 95 mg/dL, hsCRP 8.0 → 1.3 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 17 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.
