Hey everyone. I have been on semaglutide for 3 months now and wanted to get the community's take on something.

Crypto for meds feels very dystopian but here we are — looking for input

I have been reading through old threads but have not found exactly what I'm looking for. My situation: my doctor suggested crypto for meds feels very dystopian and I am not sure what to make of it.

Has anyone else dealt with this? What was your experience? My endo was not super helpful — just said to "monitor it" which is not exactly actionable advice lol.

Any input appreciated. Thanks in advance. 🙏

paige_pharma's experience with Crypto for meds feels resonates deeply with mine. I went through almost the identical process — starting dose, titration timeline, side effects, everything.

The main difference: I started 3 months later. But the overall trajectory has been remarkably similar. Down 30 lbs in 5 months.

One thing I would add that paige_pharma did not mention: the mental health improvements were just as significant.

Thanks for sharing this, paige_pharma. A few questions about your Crypto for meds experience:

  1. What dose did you start at?
  2. How long before you noticed side effects improving?
  3. Did your provider have any specific recommendations about Crypto for meds?

I am in a similar boat and trying to learn from others' experiences before my next appointment.

OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on Crypto for meds feels.

To answer traveltech_sara: I get my labs done through Quest every 3 months.

Quick update: my latest labs came back even better. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏

Relevant to Crypto for meds feels very — here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 8.0% → 5.3%, triglycerides 223 → 93 mg/dL, hsCRP 6.0 → 1.1 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 15 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.
