πŸŽ‰ MILESTONE: Month 2 and I have lost!

I can not believe I am typing this. 6 months ago I never thought I would be here.

Numbers: Started at 260 lbs, currently at 200 lbs.

Thank you to this community for keeping me sane through the hard parts. You know who you are. πŸ™

Good question. For Month 2 and I have lost NOTHING -, here is what the evidence says:

  • The clinical trial data (SURMOUNT program) supports this approach
  • Real-world results from this community generally confirm the trial findings
  • Individual variation is real β€” give it at least 8 weeks before judging

Happy to go deeper on any of these points if helpful.

Completely agree with Dr.PeteFamMed. I would add that Month 2 and I have lost also has implications for long-term metabolic health that sometimes get overlooked in these discussions.

In my case, following a similar approach led to significant improvements compared to what I was doing before.

As a pharmacist, I want to add some clinical context to this discussion on Month 2 and I have lost NOTHING -.

Building on what JenPlateau said β€” the evidence base here is robust. The key publications to reference are from the SURMOUNT program[1].

Key clinical points:

  1. Efficacy is dose-dependent and typically requires 4-5 weeks to reach steady state
  2. Side effect profile is predictable and usually manageable with standard protocols
  3. Monitoring should include baseline labs and follow-up at 3-month intervals
  4. Patient education significantly improves outcomes and adherence

Standard disclaimer: this is educational, not individualized medical advice.
