To answer wanda_boise's question specifically:

From a clinical standpoint, Long-term semaglutide (3+ is something I discuss with patients regularly.

The short answer: discuss this specific situation with your prescribing provider.

The longer answer involves weighing the risk-benefit ratio for your individual situation, which I am happy to elaborate on if helpful.

JakeBK_lifts — that is really helpful context on Long-term semaglutide (3+. Follow-up question: did you change anything about your diet at the same time?

I am in a similar situation (month 2) and trying to set realistic expectations.

OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on Long-term semaglutide (3+.

To answer tom_AK: yes, I am on compounded sema from a 503B pharmacy.

Quick update: things are still going well. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏

Just wanted to say — for anyone reading this Long-term semaglutid thread who is feeling discouraged: it gets better. The first 6 weeks are the hardest. Hang in there. 💪
