Can I just vent for a second about pilates for core strength during glp-1?

I know this forum is evidence-based and I love that about it, but sometimes you just need to let it out. I hit another plateau and I am frustrated.

Not looking for a fix necessarily — just solidarity. Anyone else going through this right now?

Dr.RheumBOS's experience with Pilates for core strength resonates deeply with mine. I went through almost the identical process — starting dose, titration timeline, side effects, everything.

The main difference: I titrated faster. But the overall trajectory has been remarkably similar. Down 44 lbs in 9 months.

One thing I would add that Dr.RheumBOS did not mention: the relationship with food fundamentally changed.

Thanks for sharing this, Dr.RheumBOS. A few questions about your Pilates for core experience:

  1. What dose are you currently on?
  2. How long before you noticed significant changes?
  3. Did your doctor have any specific recommendations about Pilates for?

I am in a similar boat and trying to learn from others' experiences before my next appointment.

OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on Pilates for core strength.

To answer COA_Karl: yes, I am on compounded sema from a 503B pharmacy.

Quick update: things are still going well. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏

Relevant to Pilates for core strength — here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 7.6% → 5.5%, triglycerides 237 → 107 mg/dL, hsCRP 8.0 → 1.3 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 17 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.
