It is late and I can not sleep so I am posting about 100 lbs lost in 14 months.

I have been putting off posting this but here goes.

Sorry if this is rambly — I just needed to get it out somewhere that people would understand. You all have been through it.

I respect claudia_zurich perspective but I think this oversimplifies things a bit. Re: 100 lbs lost in 14 months 12 — the subgroup analyses show meaningful heterogeneity.

I am not saying claudia_zurich wrong entirely — just that the picture is more nuanced than a blanket statement. The SURMOUNT data specifically shows baseline BMI-dependent responses.

+1 to claudia_zurich. Especially the point about "100 lbs lost in 14 months 12 month upda..." — I have seen the same in my own experience with 100 lbs lost in 14 months.

As a pharmacist, I want to add some clinical context to this discussion on 100 lbs lost in 14 months 12 month.

Building on what claudia_zurich said — the evidence base here is robust. The key publications to reference are from the SURMOUNT program[1].

Key clinical points:

  1. Efficacy is dose-dependent and typically requires 4-5 weeks to reach steady state
  2. Side effect profile is predictable and usually manageable with standard protocols
  3. Monitoring should include baseline labs and follow-up at 3-month intervals
  4. Patient education significantly improves outcomes and adherence

Standard disclaimer: this is educational, not individualized medical advice.

Gonna push back on this one. 100 lbs lost in 14 months 12 month is not that straightforward in my experience. I have been on this for 12 months and the reality is messier than the trials suggest.

Don't get me wrong — the medication works. But cost accessibility is a real barrier. We should be honest about that.
