Following this thread closely. Paid for independent is something I'm actively working through.

Dad of 2 checking in — I started at 293 lbs and felt like I would tried everything

I respect dan_philly perspective but I think this oversimplifies things a bit. Re: Paid for independent testing — the subgroup analyses show meaningful heterogeneity.

I am not saying dan_philly wrong entirely — just that the picture is more nuanced than a blanket statement. The SURMOUNT data specifically shows baseline BMI-dependent responses.

Reading this thread on Paid for independent hits close to home. Night shift nurse — I started at 279 lbs and felt like I would tried everything.

15 months on tirz and I am a different person. Not just the 54 lbs lost — my energy, my mood, my relationship with food. All transformed.

If you are on the fence about Paid for independent — take the leap. It was the best health decision I have ever made. ❤️

Bookmarked 📌 The Paid for independent info in this thread is essential. Coming back to this for sure.

mike_mod — that is really helpful context on Paid for independent. Follow-up question: did you change anything about your diet at the same time?

I am in a similar situation (month 2) and trying to set realistic expectations.
