My endo and I disagree about month 2 and i have lost and I want a reality check.

They are saying that I do not need to worry about it but everything I have read here suggests otherwise.

I trust this community's collective knowledge but I also do not want to go against medical advice without good reason. What would you do?

Gonna push back on this one. Month 2 and I have lost NOTHING - is not that straightforward in my experience. I have been on this for 18 months and the reality is messier than the trials suggest.

Don't get me wrong — the medication works. But adherence is harder than people admit. We should be honest about that.

This is exactly right. roxy_nash articulated what I have been trying to explain to my friends for months. The Month 2 and I have lost aspect is what made the difference for me.

Clinical perspective on Month 2 and I have lost NOTHING -:

I have managed ~150 patients on GLP-1 therapy and this topic comes up frequently. What the data shows — and what I see in practice — is that the medication works best as part of a comprehensive approach.

For this specific question, I would recommend: getting comprehensive baseline labs first.

I respect Dr.RheumBOS perspective but I think this oversimplifies things a bit. Re: Month 2 and I have lost — the subgroup analyses show meaningful heterogeneity.

I am not saying Dr.RheumBOS wrong entirely — just that the picture is more nuanced than a blanket statement. The SURMOUNT data specifically shows baseline BMI-dependent responses.
