Hi all, brand new here. My endo just prescribed semaglutide and I have a question about can i drink on sema or.

Sorry if this has been asked before — I did try searching but the amount of information here is overwhelming (in a good way). I am on week 1 and everything is new to me.

Any guidance appreciated. You all seem really knowledgeable and I am glad I found this community.

To answer the question about Can I drink on sema or will I die need advice — in my experience this comes down to a few key factors.

I have been dealing with this for several months now, and what I have found is that individual responses really do vary. That said, the general consensus on Can I drink on sema or will I seems solid.

What specifically worked for me: tracking everything in a spreadsheet. I would suggest Dr.LeslieOBGYN try the same approach and reporting back.

Completely agree with BariatricNurseD. I would add that Can I drink on sema or will I also has implications for body composition that sometimes get overlooked in these discussions.

In my case, following a similar approach led to fewer side effects compared to what I was doing before.

As a healthcare provider, I want to add some clinical context to this discussion on Can I drink on sema or will I die need.

Building on what Dr.LeslieOBGYN said — the evidence base here is well-established. The key publications to reference are from the STEP program[1].

Key clinical points:

  1. Efficacy is dose-dependent and typically requires 4-5 weeks to reach steady state
  2. Side effect profile is predictable and usually manageable with standard protocols
  3. Monitoring should include baseline labs and follow-up at 3-month intervals
  4. Patient education significantly improves outcomes and adherence

Standard disclaimer: this is educational, not individualized medical advice.
