Quick question for the group — marathon pr after 80 lbs weight.

I searched before posting (promise!) but the threads I found were from last year and things seem to have changed since then.

My situation: I'm just starting out and this came up during my last appointment. My doctor mentioned it but did not go into detail.

Would love to hear from people who've actually dealt with this. What worked? What didn't? What do you wish someone had told you?

Thanks everyone — this forum has been invaluable for me.

To answer the question about Marathon PR after 80 lbs weight loss need advice — in my experience this comes down to a few key factors.

I have been dealing with this for several months now, and what I have found is that individual responses really do vary. That said, the general consensus on Marathon PR after 80 lbs seems solid.

What specifically worked for me: tracking everything in a spreadsheet. I would suggest CanadaChris try the same approach and reporting back.

Completely agree with NurseKim_ATL. I would add that Marathon PR after 80 lbs also has implications for body composition that sometimes get overlooked in these discussions.

In my case, following a similar approach led to fewer side effects compared to what I was doing before.

As a healthcare provider, I want to add some clinical context to this discussion on Marathon PR after 80 lbs weight loss .

Building on what CanadaChris said — the evidence base here is well-established. The key publications to reference are from the SUSTAIN program[1].

Key clinical points:

  1. Efficacy is dose-dependent and typically requires 4-5 weeks to reach steady state
  2. Side effect profile is predictable and usually manageable with standard protocols
  3. Monitoring should include baseline labs and follow-up at 3-month intervals
  4. Patient education significantly improves outcomes and adherence

Standard disclaimer: this is educational, not individualized medical advice.
