🎉 MILESTONE: Marathon PR after 80 lbs weight!

I can not believe I am typing this. When I started this journey I had zero hope.

Numbers: BMI went from 42 to 25.

Thank you to this community for keeping me sane through the hard parts. You know who you are. 🙏

To answer the question about Marathon PR after 80 lbs weight loss anyone have experience? — in my experience this comes down to a few key factors.

I have been dealing with this for several months now, and what I have found is that individual responses really do vary. That said, the general consensus on Marathon PR after 80 lbs seems solid.

What specifically worked for me: tracking everything in a spreadsheet. I would suggest Dr.LipidDallas try the same approach and reporting back.

Completely agree with Dr.ObesityLA. I would add that Marathon PR after 80 lbs also has implications for body composition that sometimes get overlooked in these discussions.

In my case, following a similar approach led to fewer side effects compared to what I was doing before.

As a healthcare provider, I want to add some clinical context to this discussion on Marathon PR after 80 lbs weight loss .

Building on what Dr.LipidDallas said — the evidence base here is well-established. The key publications to reference are from the STEP program[1].

Key clinical points:

  1. Efficacy is dose-dependent and typically requires 4-5 weeks to reach steady state
  2. Side effect profile is predictable and usually manageable with standard protocols
  3. Monitoring should include baseline labs and follow-up at 3-month intervals
  4. Patient education significantly improves outcomes and adherence

Standard disclaimer: this is educational, not individualized medical advice.
