I respect jason_paloalto perspective but I think this oversimplifies things a bit. Re: Marathon PR after 80 lbs — the effect size varies considerably by population.

I am not saying jason_paloalto wrong entirely — just that the picture is more nuanced than a blanket statement. The SURMOUNT data specifically shows baseline BMI-dependent responses.
